Donate Your Old Cell Phone To Save A Life and Help Victims of Domestic ViolenceSMPS has partnered with Harbor House of Central Florida to help collect old cell phones for victims of domestic violence. Harbor House was established in the 1970’s to provide a safe haven for women, children and animals of domestic violence and it is the only state-certified domestic violence facility in Florida.In 2007-08, 7,279 calls were received on Harbor House’s 24-hour hotline. Imagine the relief that survivors may feel, as a 911 phone rests in their pocket or purse. Your used cell phones could provide them with that security. Bring in your used cell phone to any SMPS program or Mix Market Mingle throughout the year and provide the victims of domestic violence with a free 911 phone.
